This year, I've truly enjoyed working with these five couples documenting their special wedding days. Although I didn't photograph as many weddings as I have typically done in the past, it was the perfect amount. I truly got to know my couples better and felt like I had more one on one time with them, while planning their special days.
Although things have been different for the past couple of years in the wedding industry, I'm still very grateful I get to do what I love and work with such wonderful couples including my "lucky five". As I get older, I realize too that I need to slow down and really appreciate the life that I have. There were times when I photographed over 30 weddings in a year and it was really too much!
With fewer weddings, I have had many weekends open to spend more time with my life partner, friends, and family plus travel some more. I've enjoyed multiple trips to the coast, several trips to Virginia, visited my sister and nieces in Florida, taught photography workshops in Western North Carolina, Virginia, and locally.
Some folks know that I started a secondary business during the pandemic and that's starting to take off. I've been offering farm, house, and petsitting for quite a few years now. This includes horses, goats, chickens, and of course dogs and cats. Although it has nothing to do with photography, I still photograph my client's critters and share with them while they are away traveling! Honestly, I have been doing this for over 20 years for friends and family, even when I was living in Charlottesville, VA but made it official going on about 5 years ago. Word-of-mouth gets around!
Although I've scaled down how many wedding commissions I'm accepting yearly, I still have some 2026 dates open. So if you're looking for a photographer for your upcoming wedding or vow renewal I offer coverage for everything from elopements, to micro weddings, on up to grand affairs. Also if you are planning a surprise engagement and would like for it to be documented, please reach out to me and I will help you plan for it. Remember, I work with ALL couples. Love is Love!
Names of couples, wedding dates, & location of weddings can be viewed if you click on each image one by one or hover your cursor over them. Thank you Eric & Stacy, Tommy & Sajata, Cameron & Nik, Juan & Cindy, and Tylor & Amelia. It was an absolute pleasure working with all of you!
