A Bright & Cheerful Engagement Session at Paul J. Ciener Botanical Garden

Back in early May, just a few weeks before Cameron and Nik's wedding, these two scheduled a couple's/engagement session with me at Paul.J Ciener Botanical Garden. This was also the location for their wedding reception. The three of us met on a beautiful spring evening, starting off in the Japanese Garden, making our way throughout The Pollinator Discovery Garden, The Pavilion, the Hillside Rock Garden, around the water garden features, The Patio Terrace, and finally a couple in The Kitchen Garden.
Cameron and Nik decided to wear the same custom suits they wore on their wedding day. I loved their colors - Nik in deep purple and Cameron in a pretty shade of orange. They also had matching ties with a floral design and I loved their personalized engraved tie tack pins, cufflinks, and monograms on their dress shirt's cuffs.
We spent almost two hours in the garden and we were able to take advantage of that golden hour that all photographers love. The light was magic! We were so pleased we had a cool, sunny evening for their super fun session. Their session really helped them get comfortable in front of the camera and it helped us get to know one another better before their big day. I enjoyed hearing about how they met and where they got engaged, which was at the Atlanta Botanical Garden (I've been wanting to visit this garden for years!). It was only fitting for them to schedule their session and to have their wedding reception at a botanical garden!
Stay tuned for their wedding feature coming soon - I promise! I've truly enjoyed working with this wonderful couple. From planning their wedding, to their session, and finally their wedding day, it was a joy through it all!
