Merry Matrimony - A Christmas Winter Solstice Wedding at Ciener Garden

A week ago from today, Brody and Parker were married in a Christmas wedding at Paul J. Ciener Botanical Garden, which was also the first day of Winter Solstice. They were the only couple who took advantage of Merry Matrimony, an elopement and vow renewal event hosted by Ciener Garden and the Town of Kernersville. They lucked out with getting the entire venue to themselves! Their wedding was so sweet and very intimate. 

Brody and Parker were surrounded by eight of their favorite people including their two young daughters, both sets of parents, Parker's sister, and Parker's best friend. Santa Claus was their officiant.  How fun is that! Their daughters "R" and "W" loved that Santa Claus played a big part in their mom and dad's wedding. 

We originally planned to have the ceremony out on the patio, however it was a really cold and windy day last Saturday, so they chose to say their vows indoors. Parker's dad walked her down the aisle presenting her to Brody under the ceremony arch decorated with holiday decor and lights. Their oldest daughter, "R" was their ring bearer. I love Brody's reaction when he first saw Parker and then right after their first kiss as Mr. and Mrs. So sweet! 

After the ceremony, we were able to take some photos outdoors of them with their families and Santa Claus and then some of just Brody and Parker together. Parker's dress and shawl were one of a kind and she looked so lovely. Their daughters' matching plaid Christmas dresses were perfect for the occasion! 

After signing their marriage license, Brody and Parker enjoyed some time with their family, friends, and Santa Claus. Then they cut their cake and we did a few more family photos indoors, before the newlyweds departed for their holiday and honeymoon to a Valle Crucis getaway cabin, located in Western North Carolina. 

Congratulations to the newlyweds and to their families! What a wonderful celebration to be a part of. So grateful!
