A Romantic Southern Winter Wedding at Carriage Hill Farms

We are coming up on Hunter and Blake's one year anniversary in just over a couple of months away! They were married at the very end of winter 2023, on March 18th at Carriage Hill Farms in Ruffin, NC. It was a pleasure working with this couple from planning, to Blake's bridal session last fall, to finally their wedding this past winter.

The rustic feel of the venue blended perfectly with their classy southern boho style,  Blake's lace wedding gown was amazing and she looked stunning in it! Hunter and his groomsmen all wore tan sports coats, dress shirts, blue jeans, and cowboy boots and the bridesmaids wore the prettiest shade of dusty blue. Blake's first look with her dad was so incredibly sweet. This is one of my most favorite things to witness at a wedding. It still reminds me of when my own dad saw me for the first time in my wedding dress and when he walked me down the aisle. Happy tears!

The day of Hunter and Blake's wedding was relatively mild, allowing for them to have their late afternoon ceremony outside on the veranda overlooking the pond and apple orchard. It's nice that the veranda is just outside the doors of the venue. This was my first time photographing a wedding there, besides Blake's bridal several months before. The owners are so kind and so accommodating to all!

It's always a pleasure working with their planner and coordinator (who also was their floral designer), Steven Custer. I've worked many weddings with him over the years and I'm so grateful he sent this couple to me!  It was also fun to work with Justin again and his assistant, Jeff at One Love Productions. And of course so very grateful for my second photographer, Tamarah. Everyone was wonderful to work with.

Most of all Hunter and Blake were one of the sweetest couples I've ever had the honor of making memories for. I'm wishing them many years of love and happiness!
