A Woodlands Engagement Session at Tanglewood Park

Earlier this summer, I had the pleasure of photographing Spencer and Savannah for their sweet engagement session at Tanglewood. This park offers so many locations for photography. Spencer and Savannah have a love of the great outdoors. Because of that I suggested starting out in the Arboretum. From there we ended up along some of the wooded trails which I discovered a couple of years ago, while camping at this park.
The trail meanders through the lush forest and over a footbridge. We also came across a rustic gazebo which was a great place for photos too. We even spotted a small herd of white-tailed deer through the trees, including a piebald one! I wish that I'd had my 300mm lens with me, but they moved on pretty quickly once they saw us!
We finished up their session back in the Arboretum, where Spencer recreated his proposal to Savannah by getting down on one knee with her ring. Savannah then showed off her absolutely stunning engagement ring with me! These two were up for some fun and were so adventurous! We sure had a beautiful evening with perfect weather.
Spencer and Savannah have been together for about six years and got engaged almost two years ago, while on vacation in Florida at Universal Studios - Epcot. They are planning a spring 2027 wedding at The Meadows at Walnut Cove, which I'm really looking forward to. Congrats to the soon to be Mr. and Mrs.!
